What to Expect
The Facilities Coordinator ensures efficient planning and execution of maintenance activities across Tesla's R&D facilities. This mid-level role focuses on optimizing resource allocation, minimizing downtime, and maintaining compliance with company standards. Key responsibilities include developing maintenance strategies, managing work order systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions. The position requires technical expertise in facilities equipment, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. This role is ideal for candidates with proven facilities planning experience seeking to drive operational excellence in a high-growth environment. Flexibility to support urgent maintenance needs or after-hours operations may be required. Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (subject to change based on operational needs)

What You'll Do
  • Oversee planning and scheduling of maintenance activities to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and repair tasks across diverse facilities systems and equipment
  • Develop, update, and validate maintenance/calibration schedules for manufacturing facility equipment
  • Generate periodic reports on maintenance performance, including uptime metrics and cost savings
  • Analyze equipment breakdowns to identify root causes and implement corrective actions for improved reliability
  • Review and refine preventive maintenance (PM) protocols based on supplier guidelines and team feedback
  • Manage work order lifecycle from creation to completion, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up

What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years of experience with facilities systems and equipment and/ or prior experience as a planner or scheduler (2+ years preferred)
  • Degree in a technical field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in PM development, KPI dashboards, and CMMS database systems
  • Demonstrated ability in spare parts inventory management and technical documentation
  • Project management experience with a focus on cost-saving facility improvements
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and fluency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong written/verbal communication and organizational abilities

    Expected Compensation
    $18.40 - $57.60/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
