What to Expect

The Production control New Part Introduction Supervisor leads a team of skilled PC Change Technicians supporting product launches at Tesla's Manufacturing facilities including vehicles, batteries and bot - the things that make Tesla unique. In this role, the supervisor will work with a diverse cross-functional team supporting every phase of Tesla's product development lifecycle, including hand-building low volume engineering trials, executing extended product validation builds, Q builds, Pilots and process readiness for production launch, and training production teams as products launch.Successful candidates will demonstrate superior leadership and communication skills; a background in high variability production; and an excellent work ethic.


What You'll Do
  • Build a strong, motivated team capable of consistently delivering high quality results against aggressive product development targets
  • Maintain and Track teams KPI's, allocate technicians across multiple sites and technical requirements and forecast headcount needs based on current and future programs
  • Work cross-functionally with program teams to ensure aggressive project milestones are achieved
  • Understand and determine priority with various competing program priorities
  • Develop hiring, training, and career progression plans for given team, while increasing individual skillsets
  • Ensure technicians meet build timelines and objectives
  • Drive high standards in safety, quality, innovation, collaboration, teamwork, and trustworthiness

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years' experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years managing teams of people in a production environment
  • Experience selecting and developing new team members
  • Ability to develop and maintain performance metrics
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient with MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • Successfully managed teams in a technical environment

    Expected Compensation
    $96,000 - $144,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
