What to Expect
Tesla is looking for a highly motivated Controls Technician, with excellent electrical and PLC troubleshooting skills, to contribute to the sustaining of current and new automation equipment for our Seat Assembly Plant. These automated assembly lines consist of a several pieces of equipment, each PLC controlled. Tesla is a demanding and fast-paced environment where you will work on a critical system of incredibly exciting vehicles.
What You'll Do
- Controls Technician will help in development of maintenance technicians to help eliminate future downtime
- Candidate will help maintenance troubleshoot and maintain all controls components such as PLC, safety devices, HMI, servo drives, process hardware and robots
- The Controls Technician will assist in all areas of automated equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Will operate in a fast paced and dynamic environment and will need to manage multiple priorities
What You'll Bring
- Minimum of 2 years of controls technician experience in a high-volume manufacturing/industrial environment or applicable technical certificate / degree
- Skilled at troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as well as Fanuc
- Skilled in SCADA systems such as Ignition and Factory Talk View
- Skilled in PLC Languages such as Allen Bradley Controllogix
- Comfortable running equipment using internal or 3rd party software, able to decipher logs and troubleshoot equipment
- Comfortable reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting and basic user level knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, PLM, ERP
- Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

Expected Compensation
$32.00 - $48.27/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
