As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol PT in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. This role requires an Armed Guard Card/License and brings Allied Universal values to life through integrity, teamwork, and a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public government facility.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with access control by observing entry and exit activity, checking credentials when required, and directing visitors according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and/or medical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional resources as needed and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, preserve observed details for follow-up, and maintain readiness of assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ Years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
