We are looking for a skilled Analytics Engineer to help structure, transform, and optimize our data to support analytics and reporting across the company. In this role, you will build and maintain data pipelines, develop high-quality data models, and ensure our data is accurate, consistent, and ready for use. Our team works primarily in Snowflake with dbt, alongside AWS, GCP, and other modern data tools. WHAT YOU'LL DO

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain scalable dbt models, following best practices for modularity and performance.
  • Apply Kimball-style dimensional modeling techniques (star schema, slowly changing dimensions, fact and dimension tables) to structure data for analysis and reporting.
  • Explore, analyze, and validate data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of dbt models.
  • Implement and maintain automated dbt tests to ensure data quality, including checks for anomalies, nulls, duplicates, and referential integrity.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot data anomalies, pipeline errors, and model discrepancies, collaborating with teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Partner closely with data analysts to build reliable reporting models and ensure the data feeding reports is accurate, actionable, and aligned with business needs.
  • Ensure the availability, consistency, and accessibility of data for analytics teams working with Tableau and other BI tools.
  • Participate in code and PR reviews to maintain high-quality, consistent dbt models and data pipeline code.
  • Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance, leveraging tools on AWS such as Lambda, SQS, Athena, EC2, and Kinesis.
  • Follow data governance standards to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.


WHO YOU ARE

Required Qualifications:

  • REQUIRED- must live within a commutable distance to AJC Midtown Atlanta office.
  • Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.
  • 2-4 years of experience as an Analytics Engineer or in a related role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field with 2+ years experience or 14 years equivalent working experience
  • Good understanding of data quality, validation, and governance practices.
  • Experience working with data analysts or BI teams to build accurate reporting datasets.
  • Proficiency with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse technologies
  • Solid understanding of dimensional modeling concepts (star schemas, fact and dimension tables, slowly changing dimensions).


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using dbt for building, testing, and maintaining data models.
  • Experience collaborating with data analysts to build accurate, actionable reporting models.
  • Proficiency with Snowflake and building scalable data warehouses.
  • Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, SQS, Athena, EC2, Kinesis) and cloud-based data pipelines.
  • Understanding of event and web analytics data from tools like Amplitude and Google Analytics.
  • Experience with real-time data streams and troubleshooting data pipeline issues.


USD 89,400.00 - 134,000.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $89,400.00 - $134,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
