TITLE: Staff Platform Engineer

LOCATION: New York, NY, Option to work remotely from any location in the U.S.

DUTIES: Manage and maintain all self-hosted cloud deployments including deployment, hardening, scaling, and decommissioning. Code and implement 3rd-party database integration solutions on big data warehouses. Support customers with complex environments and deployments and assist with knowledge transfer to internal product support teams to ensure they can maintain the customer environments going forward. Maintain strong security postures in collaboration with security teams. EOE

REQTS: Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field plus four (4) years of experience in the position offered, or as a Software Engineer, or a related position. Alternatively, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field plus six (6) years of experience in the position offered, or as a Software Engineer, or a related position. Must have four (4) years (or six [6] years with a Bachelor's) of experience with all of the following: Managing cloud assets hands-on across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, ensuring compliance with SOC 2, CIS Controls, and STIG; Implementing and maintaining strong security postures in collaboration with security teams using tools including CrowdStrike, Lacework, Datadog, Snyk, SonarQube, JFrog Xray, and Trivy; Using Git (Bitbucket), GitOps practices, and Jenkins to develop and manage automated CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficient and secure code integration and deployment; Implementing infrastructure and application components through IaC and configuration management tools including Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Packer, aligned with industry security standards; Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Argo CD, with coding in Java, JavaScript, Golang, and/or Python; and Hosting and managing diverse data storage platforms, including Hadoop (Cloudera/Hortonworks), Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, Trino, Kerberos KDC, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, and Databricks.

SALARY: $226,900 - $306,000 per year

HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
