As a Security Officer - Overnight Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech campus, where you will conduct unarmed patrols, monitor assigned areas, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with employees and visitors, document observations, and respond to concerns with a customer-service mindset. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper channels as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, loading areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity as assigned, verifying identification and directing employees, contractors and guests according to site procedures.
• Complete security-related reports and logs, communicate observations to site leadership, and participate in required briefings and training.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
