Positions in this function are involved in monitoring, evaluating, and maintaining systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems, networks, databases, and Web-based security. Conduct vulnerability assessments and monitor systems, network, databases and Web for potential system breaches. Respond to alerts from information security tools. Report, investigate, and resolve security incidents. Recommend and implement changes to enhance systems security and prevent unauthorized access. Research security trends, new methods, and techniques used in unauthorized access of data in order to preemptively eliminate the possibility of system breach. May oversee internal or external systems security (i.e., cloud services). Ensure that customers and users have the right access to the right systems at the right times.

If you are located in MN or DC, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Direct point of contact for acquired entities for public domain name and digital certificate migration, management, and automation
  • Identify and remediate PKI security and configuration issues
  • Provide engineering and operations support for Optum's Internal PKI and Cloud-based PKI platform including owning responsibility for acquired entity integration
  • Provide innovative solutions to automate repetitive tasks
  • Participate in a 24x7 on call rotation supporting Optum's internal PKI resources and platforms

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years Windows server and workstation administration
  • 2+ years managing an enterprise application platform
  • 2+ years of general network knowledge with emphasis on DNS, firewall, and proxy knowledge
  • 1+ years of PKI experience in an enterprise with emphasis on Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS) and KeyFactor EJBCA
  • 1 years of active directory experience
  • Scripting and automation experience leveraging PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages
  • Experience with certificate lifecycle management
  • Understanding of X.509, RSA and general certificate management processes
  • Ability to participate in on call rotation for urgent issues

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience
  • CISSP or other security related certification
  • Cloud Infrastructure experience in any of the major CSP's including MS Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Identity and Access Management experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
