*Service Sales Associate (7Month Contract)* *Location:* *Remote- *local candidates only- on site in Rochester for training and once per quarter)
*Schedule:* Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM EST *Pay Rate: *$18-20/hr (paid weekly + benefits) *Contract Length:* 7 months (no conversion or extension planned at this time) A local imaging and business solutions organization is seeking a *Service Sales Associate* to support a pilot program focused on recovering lost revenue and driving customer retention. This role centers on renewing service agreements, warranties, and software assurance for existing customers. *About the Role* The Service Sales Associate promotes service offerings and drives service sales revenue by contacting customers whose agreements have expired. You will explain entitlement options, negotiate pricing, prepare quotes, and manage renewal opportunities from start to finish. This is a remote role, but candidates must live within *one hour of Rochester, NY* for required onsite training and occasional meetings. *Key Responsibilities* * Contact customers with expired service agreements, warranties, or software assurance to sell new agreements. * Explain service entitlements, pricing, and renewal options clearly and professionally. * Negotiate pricing and prepare quotes to support renewal decisions. * Manage all active renewal and warranty opportunities to meet assigned revenue targets. * Update CRM/service systems with renewal status and customer communication details. * Collaborate with Account Management Associates and Channel Relationship Managers. * Maintain organized email communication and manage renewal data using Microsoft Excel. * Continue learning product, software, and service offerings to support customer conversations. *Required Skills & Experience* * Strong telephone presence with excellent verbal and written communication. * Customer service background with confidence in negotiating and explaining service options. * Ability to quickly learn and retain product knowledge (document scanners, software, support offerings). * High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. * Experience working in CRM or service systems; Salesforce experience preferred. * Resultsoriented, proactive, and able to work independently. * Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple renewal opportunities. *Nice to Have* * Prior experience in sales support, telesales, customer service, or account coordination. * Familiarity with service agreements, warranties, or software assurance programs. *Work Environment* * Fully remote after initial training. * First week of training is onsite (Mon-Wed). * Starting week two, onsite only on Wednesdays until training is complete. * Work alongside a team of 12, including Account Management Associates, Account Managers, and crossfunctional partners. * Independent role with strong support and structured training. *Impact of the Role* This position directly supports revenue growth by renewing lapsed service agreements and maintaining strong customer relationships. Your work helps rebuild the service pipeline and contributes to a broader initiative focused on customer retention and revenue recovery. *Why the Position Is Open* This role is part of a new pilot program designed to recover lost revenue and expand the service team's capabilities. *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Rochester, NY. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
