This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust finance data governance framework, ensuring the integrity, consistency, and usability of financial data across the organization. The Senior Director partners closely with Finance leadership, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver highquality managerial reporting, oversee finance policies and standards, and lead crossfunctional initiatives that enhance efficiency and decisionmaking. This role combines strategic vision with hands on execution, driving continuous improvement in finance processes and analytics in alignment with Lean principles and organizational priorities. Key Responsibilities (What you contribute):
Finance Data Governance & Administration Establish and maintain the finance data governance charter, including policies, standards, roles, and accountability frameworks. Define and oversee finance data ownership, stewardship, and controls to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance. Oversee finance master data maintenance and related datagenerating processes, ensuring alignment with business and reporting needs. Partner with IT and data teams on system enhancements, data architecture, and governance tooling impacting finance data. Finance Policy Oversight Oversee the review, maintenance, and continuous improvement of finance policies, procedures, and standards. Ensure finance policies are welldocumented, current, consistently applied, and aligned with regulatory, audit, and business requirements. Lead initiatives to simplify, standardize, and modernize finance policies and administrative practices. Reporting, Analytics & KPI Development Lead the development and ongoing enhancement of managerial reporting and key performance indicator (KPI) frameworks. Ensure reports and dashboards deliver actionable insights to executive and operational leaders. Promote consistent definitions, metrics, and data usage first across finance, and once established, across the broader organization. Strategic Support & Project Execution Lead and manage projects in support of finance strategic initiatives, including system implementations, reporting enhancements, and process transformations. Provide structured project governance, timelines, and stakeholder coordination to ensure successful execution. Serve as a strategic advisor to finance leadership on data, reporting, and process improvement opportunities. Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement Lead business process mapping initiatives across finance functions to document currentstate processes. Identify process inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities. Design and implement futurestate processes aligned with Lean principles, standardization, and automation where appropriate. Track and report efficiency gains, control improvements, and operational benefits. Leadership & Collaboration Build and lead highperforming teams focused on data governance, reporting, and strategic support. Foster strong collaboration with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders. Coach and develop team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (What you're good at):
Knowledge Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience or a combination of equivalent education and experience Deep knowledge of finance operations, financial reporting, and management accounting. Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, and master data concepts. Familiarity with finance policies, internal controls, and regulatory considerations. Knowledge of Lean principles, process mapping, and continuous improvement methodologies. Skills Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to translate data into insights. Strong project management skills, including crossfunctional coordination and execution. Advanced skills in developing KPIs, dashboards, and managerial reports. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders. Ability to design, document, and optimize complex business processes Abilities Ability to think strategically while executing tactically in a fastpaced, evolving environment. Ability to establish governance and standards while maintaining business flexibility. Ability to lead change and drive adoption of new processes, policies, and reporting practices.
