Finance Systems Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Financial System Analyst will be managing the company's financial and reporting tools by functioning as the lead administrator overseeing all technical issues and development. The selected candidate will have the great opportunity to design and develop a new system within a rapidly growing company. This role is pivotal to the success of the finance department and will be a key player in supporting operations.

As a Financial System Analyst, you will have 4 main goals to accomplish:

1. Fully understand our new financial system OneStream.

2. Maintain, improve, and troubleshoot the forecasting model.

3. Develop, create, and maintain financial reporting and tools.

4. Assist the FP&A Team with day-to-day activities, financial close, and troubleshoot issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS

The Financial System Analyst is responsible of great task including but not limited to:

• OneStream System functional support (i.e., troubleshoot issues, make configuration updates, and manage workflows)
• Manage and monitor all projects that belong to the development of our financial tools.
• Provide functional expertise across various areas of the business.
• Manage financial business desk "backlog".
• Provide technical support to be able to deliver quick end-user issue resolution.
• Develop a strong working relationship with IT and Operations to work cross-functionally to deliver results for the organization.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT to identify, document, and test solutions for open issues and bugs.
• Support testing of system functionality as well as document and escalate defects.
• Collaborate effectively across functional and IT teams to develop new processes and implement changes to support the business partners.
• Ability to create a collaborative environment and drive change.
• Crafting accurate and easy-to-read financial reports.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Knowledge of finance principles, practices, regulations, and procedures. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to analyze and evaluate complex technical financial reports. Needs to consistently demonstrate initiative and work well in a team environment.

Competency Statement(s)

• Proven work experience as a Business Analyst, Financial Analyst, or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with OneStream System or other financial and analytical software (SmartView, Essbase, Hyperion).
• Expertise in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas)
• This includes basic knowledge in Power Query and M language.
• Need to be able to demonstrate basic knowledge in Power BI.
• Need to be able to demonstrate basic knowledge in SQL statements, DAX.
• Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts.
• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
