Job Summary

F3EA, Inc. is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our Technology, Innovation and Strategic Systems (TISS) team at our Savannah, Georgia Headquarters. This onsite position provides hands-on technical support across hardware, software, networking, server infrastructure, audio/video conference systems, IT logistics, and Tier I/II help desk operations in a Department of Defense (DoD) contractor environment.

The IT Support Specialist works under the direction of the TISS Lead and supports the organization's IT operations, cybersecurity posture, and compliance with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 requirements. This role provides direct support to over 200 employees across the Savannah headquarters and coordinates with San Diego operations as needed.

Role and Responsibilities Itier I/II Help Desk Support
  • Serve as the first point of contact for all IT support requests submitted through the NinjaOne FedRAMP ticketing system. Triage, prioritize, and resolve or escalate tickets in accordance with established service level agreements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and account access issues for end users across Windows 10/11 workstations and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Perform user account management tasks in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including account creation, password resets, group membership modifications, and multi-factor authentication support, under ISSO supervision.
  • Assist users with Microsoft 365 productivity suite (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and Microsoft 365 GCC-High applications for CUI workflows.
  • Document all support activities, resolutions, and escalations in NinjaOne ticketing with sufficient detail for audit and compliance purposes.
Hardware Support and Logistics
  • Image, configure, and deploy Windows 10/11 workstations and laptops using established DISA STIG baselines and Microsoft Intune enrollment procedures.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot peripheral devices including monitors, docking stations, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
  • Perform hardware inventory management, asset tracking, and lifecycle documentation. Coordinate equipment issuance and return per the IT Acceptable Use & Device Policy (AUP-POL).
  • Coordinate warranty repair and replacement with Dell and HP vendors, ensuring disk retention clauses are honored for equipment containing Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) per Supply Chain Risk Management Policy (SCRM-POL).
  • Support IT logistics for new hire onboarding (equipment provisioning, account setup, orientation) and employee separation (equipment collection, account disablement coordination with ISSO) per Personnel Security Policy (PS-POL).
Software Support
  • Deploy approved software packages through NinjaOne managed deployment and Microsoft Intune Company Portal. No software shall be installed outside of approved channels per Configuration Management Policy (CM-POL).
  • Assist the ISSO with Microsoft Defender Plan 2 endpoint health monitoring, ensuring all managed endpoints maintain active EDR protection and current definitions.
  • Support Keeper FedRAMP Enterprise password management rollout and end-user onboarding, assisting personnel with vault setup and secure credential practices.
  • Troubleshoot application issues across FedRAMP-authorized platforms including NinjaOne, LucidChart Gov, Keeper, Unanet GovCon, and ADP Workforce.
  • Assist with SCAP scanning execution and STIG compliance reporting under ISSO direction, helping to identify and remediate baseline configuration deviations.
Network Support
  • Monitor and troubleshoot local network connectivity at the Savannah headquarters, including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and VPN connections through the firewall and managed access points.
  • Assist the ISSO with network infrastructure tasks including switch port assignments, VLAN configuration changes, wireless network troubleshooting, and VPN client support for remote workers.
  • Support IPSec tunnel connectivity between Savannah HQ, San Diego, and expeditionary locations escalating connectivity issues to the ISSO for resolution.
  • Document network changes in NinjaOne ticketing with completed change request forms per Configuration Management Policy (CM-POL).
Server and Infrastructure Support
  • Assist the ISSO with on-premises server monitoring, maintenance, and patching for Windows Server environments at the Savannah headquarters.
  • Support Microsoft Intune device compliance monitoring, identifying and reporting non-compliant endpoints for remediation.
  • Assist with NinjaOne RMM agent deployment, monitoring, and patch management operations across the endpoint fleet.
  • Support backup operations using NinjaOne backup utilities and verify backup integrity through scheduled spot-check restoration tests per Backup, Disaster Recovery & Continuity Policy (BDR-POL).
  • Provide support for the F3EA Managed Azure Instance and Azure Gov Instance (GCC-High) under ISSO direction, including basic tenant administration tasks.
Audio/ Video Conference Room Support
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot audio/video conference room equipment including displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, and control systems.
  • Support Microsoft Teams Room systems and ensure integration with the F3EA Microsoft 365 environment for scheduling and one-touch meeting join.
  • Provide real-time technical support for high-priority meetings, client presentations, and video teleconference (VTC) sessions, including pre-meeting readiness checks.
  • Maintain conference room technology inventory and coordinate equipment refresh, warranty support, and cable management.
  • Ensure conference room configurations comply with physical security and CUI handling requirements. VTC equipment in areas where CUI is discussed shall comply with collaborative device controls per System & Communications Protection Policy (SC-POL).
Cybersecurity and Compliance Support
  • Adhere to all F3EA cybersecurity policies and procedures, including the handling, marking, and protection of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) per CUI Handling & Data Classification Policy (CUI-POL).
  • Support the ISSO in executing security awareness training logistics and tracking completion per Awareness & Training Policy (AT-POL).
  • Report all suspected security incidents immediately to the ISSO per the Incident Response Plan (IRP) and Incident Response Policy (IR-POL).
  • Assist with physical security responsibilities including visitor escort in IT areas, equipment room access control, and clean desk policy enforcement per Physical & Environmental Protection Policy (PE-POL).
  • Support evidence collection during security assessments and C3PAO CMMC certification activities as directed by the ISSM.

Required Qualifications and Education
  • U.S. Citizenship (required for security clearance eligibility and access to CUI systems).
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, OR equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant experience.
  • Foundational knowledge of Windows 10/11 desktop operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, subnetting, VPN).
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 productivity applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 50 lbs.), work in server rooms, and perform cable management.
  • Valid driver's license (occasional local travel between F3EA facilities may be required).
  • Ability to pass a background investigation and obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • One or more industry certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (MD-102), or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) contractor environment or familiarity with CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, or DFARS requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with any of the following: Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, NinjaOne or similar RMM platform, Cisco Meraki networking, or DISA STIG application.
  • Experience with audio/video conference room technology (Microsoft Teams Rooms, Crestron, Poly, Logitech, or similar).
  • Experience with IT asset management and lifecycle tracking.
  • Prior military.
Work authorization/security clearance requirements
  • Background Investigation: The selected candidate must successfully complete a background investigation and obtain eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. Employment is contingent upon favorable adjudication.
  • CUI Training: Within 30 days of hire, the individual shall complete CUI awareness training and acknowledge all applicable IT and cybersecurity policies per Awareness & Training Policy (AT-POL).
  • Policy Acknowledgment: The individual shall read, understand, and sign the IT Acceptable Use & Device Policy (AUP-POL) acknowledgment before receiving access to any F3EA information systems.
  • Insider Threat Training: Within 30 days of hire, the individual shall complete insider threat awareness training per Insider Threat Program Policy (ITP-POL).
  • Annual Compliance: The individual shall complete annual security awareness refresher training, policy re-acknowledgment, and any additional role-based training as required.
  • Personnel Security: This position is subject to the personnel screening and separation procedures defined in the Personnel Security Policy (PS-POL).
Physical Demands/Work Environment
  • Full-time, onsite position at F3EA Savannah, Georgia headquarters. This position is not eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements due to the hands-on nature of the role and physical security requirements.
  • Standard business hours with occasional after-hours support required for scheduled maintenance windows, system patching, and urgent incident response.
  • Work is performed in office environments, server/network equipment rooms, and conference rooms. May involve exposure to elevated noise levels in server rooms and occasional work at height for cable management or display installation.
  • The position involves regular interaction with all levels of the organization, from entry-level employees to executive leadership and government clients.
  • All IT activities are subject to monitoring and audit per the IT Acceptable Use & Device Policy (AUP-POL). Personnel have no expectation of privacy when using F3EA information systems.
