What to Expect
Tesla is looking for energetic, technically skilled, and highly motivated Production Specialists to join our Cathode Utility/Facility Team. In this hands-on, high-impact role, you'll be instrumental in delivering reliable utility performance and supporting commissioning efforts for new cathode production infrastructure. As the technical liaison between engineering and operations, you'll own the execution of startup, testing, and optimization for utility systems and process equipment. Your work will focus on ensuring operational reliability, safety, and sustained quality performance across all production impacting activities.
What You'll Do
- Adhere to all company safety policies and professional conduct standards
- Operate and troubleshoot manufacturing processes using data-driven analysis
- Monitor and maintain process stability to ensure consistent product quality
- Assist in developing, implementing, and improving control plans and process changes
- Escalate process or equipment issues to shift supervisors, managers, or the quality team as needed
- Support engineering teams with process validation, equipment qualification, and commissioning activities
- Train and mentor production technicians on equipment operations and standard procedures
- Collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to enhance key performance metrics
- Develop, update, and maintain equipment operation instructions and technical documentation
- Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to align work priorities and readiness schedules
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in chemical or advanced manufacturing environments
- Proven experience in commissioning and startup of new production systems or projects
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, P&IDs, and other engineering drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data analysis, reporting, and documentation
- Demonstrated leadership ability and experience mentoring teams in fast-paced, dynamic settings
- Experience applying Statistical Process Control , Cp/Cpk, and Gauge R&R
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of process control systems, process safety and compliance with environmental regulations
