Job Summary:

This seniorlevel role leads the commercial strategy and overall business performance for assigned markets across aggregate, asphalt, and/or readymix product lines. It oversees market growth planning, pricing governance, forecasting, and strategic customer relationships while ensuring alignment between sales commitments, operational capabilities, and financial objectives. This role is primarily sales focused but may, as needed, support or oversee logistics requirements within the market to ensure alignment between commercial commitments and operational execution.

Main Responsibilities:

This position performs job duties in the following areas, in addition to other projects/tasks as assigned:

Safety & Culture

* Collaborate with teams across business lines, facilitate communication of business performance goals, and drive team unity; support feedback and accountability across the organization and recognize, report, and celebrate wins and successes.
* Support development of and execution of regional business strategy and initiatives aligning with company strategy, goals, and objectives.

Main Responsibilities Continued:

Sales Development
* Lead the commercial and growth strategy for assigned markets, including segment prioritization, target accounts, and longterm market development.
* Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers, suppliers, and internal partners; engage directly on major accounts and escalations.
* Manage sales performance by setting expectations, coaching effectiveness, and ensuring consistent execution across the sales team.
* Set weekly and monthly sales targets for the sales team, aligning goals to market strategy, capacity, and customer demand.
* Own and review monthly forecasting for assigned market areas, including volume and price assumptions, and adjust plans as conditions change to protect service, margin, and execution feasibility.
* Develop annual sales plans and budget assumptions for product lines, including establishing annual budget volumes and average selling prices (ASPs) in partnership with product line managers.
* Own pricing and quoting strategies by establishing consistent processes, tools, and decision rules (e.g., zone maps, pricing processes), including quoting processes, approval thresholds, and tools.
* Define customer communication and service model (outreach strategy, cadence, channels, escalation paths) and ensure consistency in customer experience.
* Support the execution of quotes, complex bids, or critical issues when it materially impacts key accounts, margin, service reliability, or reputation.
* Drive capacity-to-demand alignment by coordinating with operations and internal partners to ensure customer commitments, delivery schedules, and service levels; establish prioritization principles when constraints exist.
* Translate market trends, demand outlook, and pricing strategy into recommendations for production planning, budgeting, and capital needs.
* Review schedules, bid activity, and cost estimates to support pricing discipline, risk assessment, and go/nogo decisions.
* Lead crossfunctional and external collaboration with customers, job owners, agencies, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve constraints, improve service, and enhance project outcomes.

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, construction management, related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a clean driving record required.

Skills:

* 10+ years of progressive experience in heavy civil construction, aggregate materials manufacturing, and/or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience managing, leading, and influencing team.
* Solid understanding of financial statements and the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
* Solid understanding of construction processes, planning, and project management.
* Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
* Ability to lead, mentor, and develop others, define goals and objectives, and hold others accountable.
* Ability to engage and inspire employees at all levels and manage by influence as well as authority to achieve results.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and solve complex problems.
* Ability to effectively communicate and present ideas and information to individuals at all levels of the organization, representatives of public agencies, and members of the community.
* Computer skills, including use of Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) and mobile applications; experience with JD Edwards, HCSS, sales management, and related programs.

Physical Requirements:

* Wears and maintains required PPE (personal protective equipment) to ensure safe performance of job responsibilities as required.
* Regularly required to perform tasks that require visual acuity to review information, inspect materials or equipment, and ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance in work performed.
* Regularly sits for long periods at a desk using a computer to perform administrative, planning, and reporting responsibilities.
* Regularly required to use hands to feel, handle, and manipulate objects, write, and use a keyboard and/or mobile device to complete daily administrative and communication tasks.
* Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds with or without assistance to handle materials, tools, equipment, or documents essential to the role.
* Occasionally works in environments that may include loud noise, moving equipment, dust, or varying indoor/outdoor conditions depending on operational needs.
* Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, and weekends; overnight travel may be required.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation*: $140,000 - $180,000 annually DOE

*Estimated target starting compensation; actual compensation to be determined based on assessment of an individual's qualifications, education, and experience relevant to the role.

Benefits: All full-time salary employees are eligible to participate in Simon benefits as defined in plan documents.
