Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Response in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine patrols across platforms, vehicles, and facilities, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm communication and strong customer service. This role requires an Armed Guard Card or license and offers a place to grow with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity and care.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and the public by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at government transportation locations.
  • Carry and maintain assigned duty weapon and related equipment per licensing requirements, post orders, and use-of-force guidelines, and respond to threats or dangerous situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify hazards, and report concerns.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and assist with crowd control and/or queuing during peak travel periods or special events.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in written reports, coordinate with site management and law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed, and preserve incident information for follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
