Position Title: Sr. Project Engineer
Salary: $90,000-$120,000/year A Sr. Project Engineer opportunity in Oconomowoc, WI is available through Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions. Work Schedule & Flexibility: One remote workday per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday) once established. Summer hours are Monday-Thursday: 9-hour days & Friday: 4 hours, remote day remains available. Sr. Project Engineer Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Designing custom industrial equipment such as ovens, furnaces, washers, and other large one-off systems - Creating and managing large 3D assemblies, with heavy emphasis on sheet metal fabrications, structural steel weldments, and integration of purchased components - Collaborating with engineering leadership and other project engineers to solve challenges unique to each custom build - Supporting multiple active projects in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities - Occasional travel (typically <10%) for retrofits or customer support Qualifications for Sr. Project Engineer: - 5-10 years of mechanical engineering experience (more experience welcome) - Strong, hands-on engineering skills specific to custom, ground-up equipment design - SolidWorks expertise strongly preferred; strong 3D modeling experience required - Candidates with Inventor experience may be considered if no active non-compete is in place - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard Office tools - Ability to evaluate designs independently and apply strong problem-solving skills - Experience in industries such as industrial equipment, automation, pet food, conveyors, sheet metal systems, can manufacturing, or similar - B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience with 5-7+ years of highly relevant industry background - Candidates without a degree may be considered with significant applicable experience - Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a high-variation engineering environment - A collaborative mindset and willingness to engage in team-based design review - Comfort with heavy computer-based design work - A cultural fit with the organization's values and processes If you are interested in this Sr. Project Engineer job in Oconomowoc, WI then please click APPLY NOW.
