Position Title: Senior Accountant
Wage: $65,000 - $80,000/year We are seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant for our Rockford manufacturing client. This fully onsite, direct hire role is responsible for day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate ledger accounts, and preparing timely financial statements and reports. The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing accounting experience and the ability to support business decisions with accurate, data-driven insights. Senior Accountant Responsibilities: - Prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and lead month-end close activities - Generate daily production and labor reports, cost analysis, and other ad hoc reporting - Perform bank and cash reconciliations, manage cash transfers and wire payments, and prepare deposit entries and cash forecasts - Maintain and update standard costs - Review and post payroll to the GL, prepare payroll accruals and analysis, and generate time and attendance reports - Manage fixed asset accounting and reconciliations, support physical inventory counts, and variance analysis - Monitor expense accounts and process credit card transactions and payments - Support third-party audit preparation, process audit adjustments, assist with year-end close, and prepare required state tax and government filings - Provide backup support to AR/AP and treasury functions and collaborate cross-functionally with multiple departments Qualifications for Senior Accountant: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field - 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment - Strong ERP and advanced Excel skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines - Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills IND345 | |
