Your Role

The Medicare Quality organization is recruiting for a Principal Analyst (P5) to support enterprise-level analytics within Medicare Quality, applying advanced statistical, modeling, and data engineering techniques to drive strategic decision support across HEDIS, Medicare Stars, CAHPS, clinical programs, and health equity initiatives.

This role will play a critical part in synthesizing data, translating analytical findings into actionable insights, and supporting the operational performance of Medicare Quality programs. While this position partners closely with the Clinical Quality Analytics (CQA) team, it remains embedded within and directly aligned to the Medicare Quality organization.

This role is ideal for an experienced analyst who can operate with independence, manage moderately complex analytical work, interpret findings for business partners, and support cross-functional quality workstreams with strong analytical rigor and thoughtful communication.

The Principal Analyst will report directly to the Senior Director, Clinical Quality (Medicare Quality Leader).

Our leadership model is about developing great leaders at all levels and creating opportunities for our people to grow - personally, professionally, and financially. We are looking for leaders that are energized by creative and critical thinking, building and sustaining high-performing teams, getting results the right way, and fostering continuous learning.

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • MPH, MBA, MS, MA, or equivalent experience OR BA/BS with demonstrated mastery-level expertise.

  • 10+ years of relevant healthcare analytics experience (managed care, academic, government payer).

  • Mastery in SAS, SQL/PL-SQL, R, Python, and analytic modeling.

  • Expertise in advanced statistical and machine learning methods.

  • Experience designing and validating large-scale reporting and analytics systems.

  • Deep familiarity with healthcare coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, DRG, LOINC, pharmacy codes).

  • Extensive experience in Medicare Stars, HEDIS methodology, CAHPS/member experience analytics, clinical quality, and health equity studies.

Hybrid

This role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into the office two days each week.

Employees living more than 50 miles from an office location will work with their manager to determine in-office time based on business need.
