Licensed Vocational Nurse Transgender Care Program Full Time 88322BR Job Summary Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)and guided by the policies and procedures of Ambulatory Services, the Licensed Vocational Nurse works in collaboration with the clinical team in delivering high quality care to patients in the Transgender Care Program. The type of patients treated in the clinic include patients who are receiving primary care or consultative services surgical interventions (gender affirming surgery), and other gender affirming services . The Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care to patients in the ambulatory setting. All components of nursing care will be individualized to meet the patient's physiological and psychosocial developmental level and needs. Works collaboratively with RN as a nursing resource for staff and provides nursing supervision that is within the scope of practice in the absence of the RN. The Licensed Vocational Nurse supports the clinical team that consists of physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, social workers, medical assistants, outreach coordinators, and program coordinators. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $45.15 - 56.64 (Hourly Rate).
