Summary


TheOcean Import TeamLeadisresponsible formanaging a team of oceanimportcoordinators to ensure the timely and efficientdelivery of goods toclients. Theroleinvolvessupervising team members,coordinating withcarriers,vendors and customers,andensuringcompliancewithregulationsandcompany policies.



Dutiesand Responsibilities



  • Superviseandlead ateam of oceanimportcoordinators, providing guidanceandsupport as needed.
  • Coordinatewithcarriers,vendors,and customers to ensure timelyand efficient delivery of goods.
  • Maintain accurate andtimelyrecords andensurecompliancewithallimportregulationsandcompany policies.
  • Monitorand ensurethe accuracy ofinvoicesandbillingstatements.
  • Resolve anyissues thatmay ariseduring theimport process,includingcustomsclearanceissues,vendor delays,or damagedgoods.
  • Collaborate with other teams,such ascustomerservice andsales, toensure aseamlesscustomer experience.
  • Stayup-to-datewithindustry trends, regulations,andbestpractices.



Educationalbackground /Workexperience


* A bachelor's degreeinlogistics,supplychainmanagement, or a relatedfieldisrequired.


* Atleast 5years of experiencein oceanimportoperations, withatleast 2yearsin a supervisory role.


* Familiaritywithimportregulations,customsclearance procedures, andindustrybestpractices.




Skills & Competencies


* Strongleadership andcommunicationskills.


* Proficientin using computersoftwareprograms related tologistics andsupplychainmanagement.


* Excellent problem-solvinganddecision-makingskills.


* Ability to manage multipleprojects andprioritizetasks effectively.

For this position, the expected base pay is:$30.00-$40.75/ Hourly. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
