What You'll Do

RTI's Business Development (BD) Team is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Senior BD Analyst to support the Department of War (DoW) market. The Senior BD Analyst will support RTI'sDoWStrategic Account Executives during the business development life cycle with pipeline management, opportunity vetting, competitive intelligence, partnering, and client communication needs. This position reports to the Director, Proposal Analytics and Intelligence while working closely with theDoWStrategic Account Executives to build a strong pipeline and increase awards that further RTI's mission of improvingthe humancondition. While this is aUS-basedremoteposition,local candidates within commuting distance to an RTI office (RTP, NC) are preferred.

Your primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Developing a thorough understanding of RTI's capabilities, competitive landscape, and market to inform business development efforts.
  • Possessing a working knowledge of keyDoWagencies, their mission, contracting mechanisms, and key relationships, with an emphasis on agencies with research, development,testand evaluation functions.
  • Proactivelymonitor,identify,vetand develop potential opportunities associated with theDoWmarket.
  • Responsible for pipeline management in Salesforce andfacilitatingpipeline review meetings.
  • Collaborating with other BDanalysts, Growth Integration Leads, Impact Domain Leads, and business development partnersacross the organization for information exchange and cross-functional value.
  • Spearheading knowledge management needsregardingopportunity tracking and management, potential partners, as well as other business development operations.
  • Facilitate and direct meetings with internal technical teams, clients, partners, and competitors during business development meetings, as needed.
  • Attend conferences andnetworkingopportunities for business development, as needed.
  • Performing research to mapDoWpriorities and contracting opportunities to RTI's capabilities.
  • Analyzing competitive industry trends and conducting business intelligence toassistwith producing business landscape status reports for theDoWmarket.
  • Developing templates and repeatable tools for client needs.
  • Subject matter expert for triangulating competitive intelligence by analyzing spending data and client/competitor news.
  • Organizing meetings with internal and external stakeholdersregardingopportunity development.
  • Identifyingpartners and the ability to conduct investigative conversations with partners.
  • Drafting communication, developing presentation materials, recording notes for meetings, and documenting findings.
  • Conducting ad-hoc tasks and projects relating to business development and competitive intelligence activities.
  • Proposing and implementing new enhancements or procedures withinownjob function.

What You'll Need

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of relatedprofessionalexperience orMaster'sdegree and 3yearof relatedprofessionalexperience.
  • Experience working within theDoWfederal contracting space, whether directly or as a contractor.
  • To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require now, or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Power BI experience is preferable.
  • Defense Acquisition training/certifications are preferable.

Required Knowledge,Skillsand Abilities:

  • Familiarity with government contracting websites and products such asUSASpending, GovWin, Bloomberg, SAM.gov, and GSAeBuy.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and Salesforce (SharePointa plus).
  • Willingnessto take on challenges, learn new subject matter, and think curiously and creatively.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, accuracy with work, strong organizationalskill, and attention to detail.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to help influence decision making amongst senior level leaders.
  • Ability to stay organized and manage competing deadlines and responsibilities.

Our pay ranges represent national averages and may vary by location as a geographic differential may be applied to some locations within the United States.
