Position title: Monterey Bay Area Mathematics Project Director ( Academic Coordinator II, FY) Salary range:
Commensurate with qualifications and experience. A reasonable estimate for this position is $84,246 - $141,646. The actual salary will be dependent on the position's percentage of time. Percent time:
Variable, between 10-100%, based on the availability of funding. Anticipated start:
July 1, 2026 Position duration:
Initial appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of reappointment. Should the hiring unit propose reappointment; a review to assess performance will be conducted. Reappointment is also contingent upon the availability of funding. MBAMP provides professional development for K-12 mathematics teachers across Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Benito counties. MBAMP serves Region 5B of the California Subject Matter Projects - a statewide effort. Through events such as summer institutes and a community math teacher circle, MBAMP brings together mathematicians, teachers, and administrators. MBAMP events focus on building knowledge of mathematics; improving skills in instruction; enhancing and practicing leadership skills; and assisting in curriculum development.
