Department:Mosquito Control Department Organizational Unit:Countywide Mosquito & Aquatic Weed Ctl Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time Open Until Filled. $18.73 to $20.60 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. North Area/Titusville. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Performs experienced technical work providing customer service to the general public on issues relating to the operations and processes of the Mosquito Control Department. Work involves receiving and processing incoming phone calls from customers; entering information into the computer; scheduling, dispatching, and tracking inspection and spray schedules and mosquito fish requests; and assisting with compiling, filing, and entering FEMA and other grant project data. REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or its equivalent PLUS three (3) years of direct customer service and/or office experience, which includes experience with Microsoft Office Suite, GeoPro Data Center, Esri Garmin mapping, Groupcast Phone Tree Systems, or other similar software applications. Experience in tracking Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) grant projects and coordinating funding reimbursements is preferred. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must possess, or obtain within twelve (12) months of employment, a State of Florida Public Health Pest Control license, issued in accordance with Florida Statute 388, and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
