The Quality Advisor is a consulting, mentoring, and providing guidance to the Quality team for front end to completion liaison to Project Management, leading and training of inspection auditing personnel, managing third party inspection resources and quality project related processes for project document review. This position will be based in The Woodlands, TX office. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Front end to completion Liaison with facilities engineering and construction project managers for inspection test plan review, level of inspection surveillance, selection of inspection personnel to the Quality Inspection Coordinator. Mentoring and Training of inspection audit personnel for technical support, resources and situations for quality inspection process compliance and OXY requirements. Professional relationship development with third party OXY client inspection firms for inspection resources and review of inspector competencies. Strong technical support to quality management processes, mentors Quality Inspection Coordinator, Quality Audit Lead and Quality Team Lead. Supports supply chain management contributing to the planning and maintenance of approved vendors and suppliers for specific type of services, commodities, and materials.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering strongly preferred. High School Diploma/GED required. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in oil and gas, minimum 5 years in quality inspection role, offshore Gulf of America experience preferred Professional/Technical Knowledge:
Strong OXY background of business unit processes, management and relationships Strong knowledge in ASME / NBIC Pressure Vessel Codes, API Standards & Specifications, process equipment related to service, American Welding Society, Good engineering practices and technical writings. ISO 9001, ASME, NBIC, API Q2 compliance, Quality Auditing, Supply chain vendor qualification processes Quality Excellence and culture leadership Establishment and writing of controlled system procedural, technical documents, guidelines and specifications related to quality management processes Basic knowledge of project management, cost estimation and value added economic evaluations
Professional/Technical Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications :
Auditing Credential : Certified Quality Auditor, Six Sigma Green Belt, or API Q1/Q2 Lead Auditor Training API 570, 510, AWS CWI Proficient in MS Office applications
