Role Overview

The Senior Product Designer is a strategic, highly autonomous individual contributor who leads complex design initiatives across our SaaS product suite-including Denticon, Cloud9, and Apteryx.

This role extends beyond feature design. You will translate user insights, market signals, and business objectives into scalable, cohesive product experiences. You'll shape product direction, influence roadmap decisions, and craft intuitive workflows used daily by thousands of dental professionals.

As a senior member of the design team, you will elevate design quality, champion systems thinking, and mentor junior designers-driving measurable impact across usability, adoption, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end design for complex features and product areas-from discovery and research through final delivery.
  • Translate customer research, analytics, and business strategy into intuitive, scalable UX solutions.
  • Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to define problems, explore solutions, and navigate trade-offs across technical, design, and business constraints.
  • Plan and conduct user research and usability testing; synthesize findings into actionable improvements that increase adoption and satisfaction.
  • Design high-fidelity interfaces and interactive prototypes in Figma, contributing to and evolving the design system for consistency and scalability.
  • Present design concepts and rationale clearly to stakeholders, building alignment through strong storytelling and data-backed decisions.
  • Mentor junior designers through structured feedback, critique, and craft development.
  • Contribute to the evolution of design standards, patterns, and best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of product design experience, ideally within SaaS, B2B, or complex enterprise software environments.
  • Proven ability to independently lead moderately to highly complex initiatives with ambiguous requirements.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design thinking, systems-level problem solving, and polished execution.
  • Deep expertise in UX principles, interaction design, accessibility standards, and responsive design patterns.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally and navigating competing priorities to deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to designers, engineers, product leaders, and executives.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, agile environments with shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to tie design decisions to business impact, including adoption, usability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction metrics.
