DESCRIPTION

Working under general supervision, the Central Equipment Service Tech is responsible and accountable for all activities and competencies related to equipment and supply inventory for nursing units in varies locations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, Supply Inventory & Management, Equipment Inventory Management, Real Time Location System (RTLS) support, and related administrative support. Performs other responsibilities as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART w/in six (6) months of hire date.

  • Two (2) years recent Central Service operations or Equipment Management experience in large, complex healthcare setting.

  • Proficient computer skills (e.g., MS-Office, Excel, Word, i-Share base programs).

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, flexibility and professionalism in dealing with staff and visitors.

  • Experience using and maintaining a database and spreadsheets.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to effectively work in and facilitate a team environment.

  • Ability to effectively work in and facilitate a team environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with managing equipment and supplies.
  • Experience working with vendors.
  • Experience working with patient charging methods.
  • Experience working with RTLS or equipment tracking method.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $64,039 - $64,039 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $30.67 - $30.67

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
