Senior Engineer III

Orlando, FL (CPE ST3)

Summary:

ATS is looking for a qualified Senior Engineer III to support the LFS PLM at CPE ST3.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Lead complex life-cycle sustainment engineering efforts for BATL and ARC systems, ensuring integration of technical solutions that maintain compliance with approved Technical Data Package (TDP) baselines, firmware requirements, and performance specifications.
  • Oversee engineering analysis, design updates, and system modifications associated with configuration changes, obsolescence mitigation (DMSMS), product improvements, and cybersecurity compliance activities.
  • Facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration among logistics, configuration management, field support, and program management teams to resolve complex engineering challenges related to system upgrades, testing, and integration.
  • Support Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities by preparing technical assessments, evaluating form-fit-function alternatives, conducting risk analyses, and ensuring documentation updates to drawings, manuals, and associated Government repositories.


Experience and Qualifications:



  • Minimum of six (6) years of engineering experience supporting DoD systems sustainment, integration, configuration management, or product lifecycle management efforts.
  • Demonstrated experience performing technical evaluations, root cause analysis, system upgrades, and engineering change implementation within a controlled baseline environment.
  • Working knowledge of MIL-STD documentation processes, systems testing (including environmental testing), and lifecycle sustainment practices for electromechanical or electronic systems.


Special Requirements:



  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, as required by the contract; must comply with applicable OPSEC and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Ability to travel to military installations to support field troubleshooting, integration efforts, testing events, and technical interchange meetings.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and technical communication skills with the ability to brief engineering findings and recommendations to Government stakeholders and Configuration Control Boards.

Working Environment:

Work will be performed in a combination of contractor office spaces, warehouse/depot facilities, Government offices, and operational field environments. Duties include coordination within a climate-controlled logistics facility supporting electronic components and spare parts inventory, as well as participation in meetings at Government and contractor sites. Positions may require travel to CONUS (and potentially OCONUS) military installations to support live-fire training ranges, conduct on-site troubleshooting, integration, and program reviews. Field support activities may involve outdoor environments and operational range conditions. Compliance with applicable security, cybersecurity, OPSEC, and safety requirements is mandatory.
