This role will support the Optum Insight Expense Analytics ownership of real-time forecasting of Non-Workforce expenses across the Payment Integrity, Risk Adjustment, and Admin sub-markets, with a combined $800M of expense. In addition, this role will serve as the primary contact between our Business, Vendor Management, Finance and Procurement teams to support the current 2026 vendor savings pipeline in each of the sub-markets mentioned, but also at the OI aggregate level with a current pipeline of $140M and expected to increase.

For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Non-Workforce financial forecasts and projections for the Payment Integrity, Risk Adjustment and Admin sub-markets
  • Partner with Finance, Business, and Operations teams on supporting the Optum Insight Business Services vendor savings pipeline
  • Review Optum Insight vendor contracts for accuracy, and to ensure that contracts align with business strategies and objectives
  • Develop, perform and manage the analyses of Non-Workforce cost metrics as well as performance measures
  • Develop and maintain financial reports to clearly communicate actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast and budget
  • Develop, perform and manage all aspects of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Work closely with the business to develop, recommend and establish strategies, plans, and processes to improve profitability and cost efficiencies

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
  • 3+ years of financial and operational management experience
  • Proven experience driving business performance in a high growth environment
  • Work experience anticipating accounting, financial reporting, forecasting and operational issues, assessing their implications and developing and implementing an appropriate action plan
  • Experience working collaboratively and influence across a matrix environment to drive revenue enhancement and expense management initiatives
  • Experience working across teams and business partners
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Proven ability to learn new financial systems and tools quickly

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare experience
  • Power BI experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $72,800 to $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
