Production Scheduler

Kyocera International, Inc. is hiring a Production Scheduler our Hendersonville, NC facility!

If you're a Production Scheduler who thrives on balancing priorities, solving constraints, and keeping operations running on time, this could be your seat at the table. In this role, you won't just enter work orders, you'll own the production schedule, ensuring jobs move efficiently through the shop, materials are ready, and customer commitments are met. Your decisions will directly impact throughput, machine utilization, and on-time delivery.

Pay Range: $18 to $26 per hour (Actual base pay based on factors such as relevant experience, education, market, qualifications, and skills.)

  Build and manage daily and weekly production schedules for both production and prototype runs
  
• 
  Create and release work orders in SAP with accuracy and real-time updates
  
• 
  Prioritize jobs to meet customer delivery requirements (90%+ on-time target)
  
• 
  Coordinate with production, engineering, and leadership to align capacity and priorities
  
• 
  Communicate schedule status, risks, and changes to Sales and Customer Service
  
• 
  Quote and adjust lead times based on capacity and constraints
  

• 
  Balance machine capacity, labor, and materials to maximize throughput
  
• 
  Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts before they affect delivery
  
• 
  Ensure raw materials and blanks are ready for scheduled runs
  
• 
  Adjust schedules in real time to meet changing priorities
  
• 
  Maintain accurate scheduling data and track On-Time Delivery (OTD)
  
• 
  Support production meetings with clear, actionable schedule updates
  

• 
  Receive, review, and release work orders in SAP
  
• 
  Collaborate with production, engineering, and QA to resolve issues
  
• 
  Update production boards, inventory, and scheduling documentation
  
• 
  Coordinate tooling, job paperwork, and floor flow
  
• Track OTD performance and adjust schedules as needed

  Experience scheduling both production runs and prototype/short-run work
  
• 
  Background in machining or job shop environments
  
• 
  Track record of improving on-time delivery and schedule efficiency
  
• 
  Ability to anticipate problems and proactively adjust schedules
