NYC DOT is seeking a highly motivated individual to support the Commissioner as Chief of Staff. The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the Commissioner's senior team, responsible for prioritizing and coordinating work efforts, managing and organizing the flow of information, and providing oversight to ensure effective and timely follow-through on various policy, operational, strategic and budget initiatives, as well as working closely with the Commissioner and other members of the leadership team to set strategic direction and participate in critical decision-making for the agency. Minimum Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and 4 years of satisfactory experience of a nature to qualify for the duties and responsibilities of the position, at least 18 months of which must have been in an administrative, managerial, consultative or executive capacity or supervising personnel performing activities related to the duties of the position; or Preferred Skills
Master's degree in public administration or related field. Must have the ability to juggle multiple requests and issues concurrently from a multitude of requesters, impeccable managerial and interpersonal skills, proven track record of effectively interacting with senior management. Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments. Effective, versatile and action oriented. Excellent communication skills. Public Service Loan Forgiveness

New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County.
