Job Summary The Bronner Lab in the Division of Biology and Biological Engineering is seeking a motivated individual to join as a Research Technician. The successful candidate will assist on one or more projects to study neural crest and its role in development in zebrafish. Essential Job Duties Conduct scientific analysis of experimental results related to molecular and developmental biology (PCR, plasmid preparation, in situ hybridizations, microscopy, and histological techniques). Zebrafish husbandry. Keep detailed records of experimental research. Perform other related duties assigned. Basic Qualifications B.S. degree with 2 years of relevant scientific research experience, including: 1 year of experience performing molecular and developmental biology techniques, including PCR, plasmid preparation, in situ hybridization, microscopy, and histological methods. 1 year of hands-on experience working with zebrafish as a model organism, including molecular biology and embryology. 1 year of experience working with zebrafish husbandry, including daily care, health monitoring, and breeding support. Ability to work effectively and maintain accurate records, with strong attention to detail. Required Documents Resume Hiring Range $25.25 - $30.75 Per Hour The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
