What You'll do with "Our Training and Your Experience"

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to support inventory accounting functions while also leading data analytics initiatives and special projects within the accounting organization.



  • Be responsible for day-to-day operations and close processes, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, balance sheet and P&L variance analysis within the inventory and cost accounting functions including but not limited to inventory, received not invoiced liabilities, warranty reserve, material and labor transfers.
  • Partner with regional finance directors, warehouse managers and operation teams as needed to properly analyze general ledger account activity
  • Provide analytical support in year-end audits as well as preparing audit working papers
  • Identify, propose, and implement process improvements/accounting changes to streamline the process and ensure accuracy in the accounting.
  • Prepare complex ad-hoc reports and analyze large datasets as assigned by management. This will also require the Sr accountant to interpret the results of the analysis, present findings and recommendations to management, and assist management in implementing any business or process changes resulting from the analysis.
  • Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and automated reports to support finance transformation, systems implementation, or operational improvements using Excel, Power BI, SQL, Alteryx or other analytics platforms.
  • Other ad-hoc responsibilities as required



What You'll Need



  • Strong knowledge of financial information analysis using spreadsheets, databases, and other financial reporting software
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and the general ledger.
  • Strong Data visualization, analytics and reporting skills
  • Outstanding planning and organizational skills; ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexible, adaptable, detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Minimum Experience:



  • 4-5 years of accounting or data analytics work experience.
  • CPA or progression toward CPA
  • Large ERP system experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Strong accounting knowledge, interpersonal skills and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an organized manner and manage time efficiently and effectively
  • Exceptional understanding of financial statements and the general ledger



Preferred Qualifications (but not required):

  • Public accounting audit experience or publicly traded company experience
  • Inventory and cost accounting experience at a manufacturing, construction, or 3PL company
  • NetSuite or Oracle



Salary Range: $86,000 to $110,000
