What you'll be doing

This position provides complex administrative support and in-person reception coverage (minimum 4 days per week in office) for the HIV/STI Prevention and TB programs. Enters sexually transmitted infection (STI) labs/case reports and other program data into state and federal databases; tracks and requests missing case information. Coordinates, purchases, and tracks incentives and supplies. Provides cross-programmatic support for DPR as needed.

Some Essential Functions Include:

  • Enter lab results and case reports into PHIMS-STD state database; pickup lab reports from SHELDIn state reporting system. Include additional notes, previous STD history, and possible partner(s) treatment.
  • Assist with packaging and shipping specimens to CDD or state lab; may enter data into CDD AFTIS system.
  • Answer STI main phone line; answer questions, make appointments, and triage calls as appropriate.
  • Compile orders and complete purchasing for the HIV/STI Prevention Program according to SRHD purchasing policies and procedures and grant requirements.
  • Comply with HIPAA confidentiality requirements.

What we need from you

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Three years of advanced administrative support experience including computer applications such as Office 365, spreadsheet development and management, office equipment functions such as telephone and email, customer service skills, etc.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years working as an administrative assistant in a medical/clinic setting.
