The Chief Financial Officer and Asset Management unit leadership at SEI are seeking a new member for the business management team. The Business Manager will focus on the financial aspects of a grouping of business units including the unit P&L's, revenue and expense plans and forecasts, strategic financial analysis, pricing analysis, client contracting and fees, compensation and coordination with SEI's Corporate Accounting team, other Business Management teams and the Compliance and Internal Audit Teams. Additionally, the business manager partners with various departments to support sales activity reporting, as well as budgeting and forecasting to successfully manage their product lines and services. The primary goal is to provide financial management to drive business decisions and achieve company goals.

What you will do:

This role seeks someone with strong financial acumen and excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple responsibilities at once while maintaining attention to deadlines. This person should excel at communication, listening, and forming effective working relationships.Key deliverables of this role include the following:

  • Strategic financial analysis and long-term financial planning, including business analytics.
  • Strategic partner to business teams and management to support profitability and growth.
  • Monthly close of the corporate books for all relevant work including accruals, journal entries, asset and cash flow reporting and financial reporting package
  • Prepare and maintain annual financial plans and monthly forecasts.
  • Client contracts and management of the billing and fee collection process in partnership with Corporate Accounting.
  • Expense planning and actual results including insights and recommendations for automation to increase profitability.
  • Support audit process as requested by Compliance, Internal Audit, Corporate Accounting, and external auditors.
  • Compliance with Sarbanes Oxley processes and controls
  • Partner with People & Culture unit in execution of compensation including salary, incentive compensation, and sales compensation.
  • Participate in acquisition financial review and integration, if applicable
  • Keep abreast of industry standards and knowledge and be able to communicate with key stakeholders.

What we need from you:

  • Twelve plus years of relevant and progressive experience in accounting/finance with a financial services company.
  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university with an accounting/finance focus.
  • Professional experience in wealth and investment management, investment processing, and technology and data-oriented businesses
  • Experience with automation and implementation of financial processes and systems.
  • Ability to manage and develop professional staff.
  • Ability to read, understand and provide input to financial statements and public filings.
  • Experience with tools such as the Microsoft Tool set (Excel, Copilot, Word, PowerPoint, One Drive, Power BI), Oracle financial tools, Salesforce, Workday
  • Analytical and diagnostic skills with the ability to analyze business and financial issues and decision options.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, act as a consultant, manage projects and drive the business forward.
  • Ability to communicate at the executive level.
