The Senior Advisor, Procurement Governance & Process is an important supporting role within Nutrien's Procurement function. Reporting to the Manager, Procurement Governance & Process, this position contributes to the development, execution, and continuous improvement of Procurement governance frameworks, including policies, standard operating procedures, compliance mechanisms, and procurement supply chain risk.

This role operates at the intersection of governance stewardship and business enablement-working collaboratively with governance, process, system, and operational teams to ensure governance solutions are fit-for-purpose, practical, and aligned to business needs, while maintaining strong compliance and control. Through effective partnership, influence, and change enablement, the role supports operational excellence, strengthens accountability, and advances governance maturity across Nutrien's global Procurement organization.


What You'll Do:

  • Support the development and execution of Procurement's Governance Framework, ensuring alignment with strategy and balancing governance needs with operational practicality.
  • Create, maintain, and promote standardized procurement documentation (policies, standards, process maps, procedures, and work instructions) that is clear, consistent, and easy for the business to use.
  • Collaborate with Procurement teams, business stakeholders, and enabling functions to understand operational needs and reflect them in governance and process solutions.
  • Translate governance requirements into practical, user-friendly guidance that drives adoption and supports effective change management.
  • Maintain and enhance Procurement SharePoint sites and document libraries to ensure accessibility, usability, and a reliable single source of truth.
  • Support functional risk management by helping identify procurement and supply chain risks and contributing to practical mitigation strategies and internal controls.
  • Partner with Governance & Enablement and Procurement teams to ensure alignment, consistent messaging, and coordinated governance practices.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and peer support to advance governance objectives and strengthen team capability.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Professional certifications such as SCMP, CPSM, or equivalent are considered an asset.
  • 6+ years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Process, Governance, Compliance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting process documentation, policy development, or business analysis considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, Ariba, etc.) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, workflows, governance frameworks, and documentation standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to design fitforpurpose governance solutions that balance compliance requirements with business efficiency.
  • Proven collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trust, influence outcomes, and synthesize input into actionable guidance.
  • Clear, practical communicator capable of explaining governance expectations and facilitating productive discussions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, SharePoint) with the ability to present information in a clear and connected way.
  • Highly organized, detailoriented, and accountable, with a continuous improvement mindset and strong commitment to governance and compliance.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this role, in Loveland, CO, is between $87,000 - $149,100. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

We provide an attractive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, and life insurance and well as disability coverage for positions working more than 30 hours per week. In addition, we have a retirement program that encourages our employees to save for the longer term, with generous matching employer contributions. In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
