We are looking for a confident, motivated, proactive Booker/Researcher to join our team. As a Booker/Researcher for Fox Business' "The Evening Edit with Elizabeth MacDonald", you will be responsible for pitching stories, booking guests, writing scripts, and selecting/building elements for a national television program. You need to have a passion for politics, business, and current events. Ideally, you are also a stickler for grammar, a clever writer, and an excellent fact-checker.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help book a variety of guests and compile well-rounded pre-interviews

  • Find and build elements such as sound, video clips, and graphics

  • Produce segments, guest intros, and banners

  • Fact check and conduct in-depth research for high-level talent

  • Pitch unique and interesting guests, stories, and segments

  • Produce social media content

  • Manage daily deadline turnarounds of a live-show

  • Additional responsibilities based on your unique talents/abilities

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 1-3 years of prior television (or similar) experience

  • Strong knowledge of politics, business news, and current events; familiarity with politicians, commentators, and opinion makers

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others under intense deadline pressure

  • Self-starter with the ability to make smart decisions on your own

  • Willingness to listen, learn and grow from constructive criticism

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $54,000.00-63,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
