Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol Driver in Bethesda, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns from shoppers, tenants, and staff with clear communication and customer-focused service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and store staff by following Allied Universal procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, corridors, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with conflict de-escalation, coordinating with site management, and contacting public emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, using security-related systems such as CCTV and/or alarm notifications when available, and report irregularities per post orders.
• Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate noteworthy information during shift turnovers, and follow chain-of-command reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Six or more months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
