Marriott Syracuse Downtown seeks Part-time Line Cook to prepare and cook unique dishes that satisfy and excite our guests & visitors. If you want to learn how to prepare the best Mash & Bangers dish in Syracuse, then this is the kitchen you want to be in!

Here is what you will be doing each day as a Line Cook:



  • Prepare food to order items for customers/guests in a timely and consistent manner.
  • May perform cooking in all areas such as prep, pantry or line.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklist. Date all food containers and rotate
  • Anticipate all and any menu request.
  • Ensure food to order items for customers/guests are in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

Our line cooks possess a self-starting personality with an even disposition and can maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. You can communicate well with guests and are willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. You should be adaptable to change in your work area and in hotel procedures with a willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones, have the ability to solve routine problems that occur on the job and ask for help whenever you are not sure how to do something. You understand & believe that every Crescent associate is a guest relations ambassador, every working minute of every day.



  • Flexible availability required but specific needs will be discussed during the interview
  • At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced, full restaurant or catering kitchen environment preferred
  • Starting rate: $20.60/hr, depending on experience

Qualifications
Experience
2 - 4 years: Cooking experience in a restaurant or catering setting (required)
