SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft while delivering exceptional service to passengers. The Second in Command works in close coordination with the Pilot in Command (PIC), aviation team, and support personnel to ensure all flight operations meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and service excellence.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Pilot in Command in the safe planning and execution of all flight operations, including coordination with aviation crew, maintenance staff, and management company to ensure safety and service standards are met.
- Support aircraft operation in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations, including instrument monitoring, communications with air traffic control, and adherence to company procedures (Part 91 operations).
- Perform all required pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight duties, including checklists, inspections, and systems monitoring to ensure aircraft readiness and safety.
- Assist in completing all required flight, travel, and aviation documentation, including international, domestic, and Caribbean operations.
- Review weather, NOTAMs, and operational data prior to flights; communicate relevant information to the PIC and assist in decision-making regarding flight feasibility and safety.
- Provide concierge-level service to passengers, including assistance with luggage, catering coordination, ground transportation, and overall travel experience.
- Must be able to report on-site to the departing hangar, when scheduled on duty, within no more than 2 hours from notice.
- Notice will be provided by text and phone call, when possible, using the Company provided phone.
- Pilots must confirm receipt of the notice within 15 minutes of the notice delivery time, along with their expected arrival time within the required 2-hour window.
- Be available as scheduled for all required Company and FAA training.
- Support aircraft cleanliness, stocking, and readiness to ensure a professional and welcoming environment for passengers.
- Participate in safety programs, standard operating procedure adherence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Special projects and assignments as business dictate
- Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any confidentiality or privacy standards or company policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to state or federal regulations including HIPAA.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5+ years of Aviation related experience, preferably in corporate or on-demand flight operations
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and/or work experience
- Detailed knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, air traffic control procedures, and aircraft systems
- Minimum flights hours consistent with SIC qualification requirements (2500 total time preferred; military experience considered)
- International Flight Operations experience preferred.
- Professional, Detail and Service oriented
- Candidate must reside within two hours of the hangar (Bedford, MA)

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with appropriate ratings
- Type rating or progress toward qualification in Gulfstream aircraft (G700, G600, G500, G800 preferred)
- Valid medical certificate
