LFS, Inc. was established in 1967 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods. Our corporate headquarters is in Bellingham WA, and we have two year-round locations in Washington State: Bellingham and Seattle. LFS also has five year-round locations in Alaska: Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer (Kachemak Gear Shed), and Sitka; and twoseasonal locations inDillingham and Naknek. While our core business is supplying the commercial fishing industry, we have evolved to include industrial and sports netting sales, hydraulic sales and services, wholesale/industrial sales, recreational marine and outdoor sales, and internet sales.

Job Summary: LFS, Inc. is looking for motivated EntryLevel Net Hangers to join our net production team. This is a handson, skillbuilding role where you will learn the craft of assembling, repairing, and customizing nets used in commercial fishing, marine operations, sports, and industrial applications. No prior experience is required-just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and attention to detail.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in building, hanging, and repairing nets according to project specifications.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble netting materials using hand tools and equipment.
  • Learn knottying, splicing, and netmending techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
  • Support senior net hangers and supervisors with daily tasks.
  • Skillbased wages with increases as proficiency improves.
  • Opportunities for advancement into senior net hanger, lead, or specialized roles
  • Training provided to develop industryspecific skills.

Additional Responsibilities:

Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Entry Level Wage is $19.50 - $22.00 DOE.

This is a full-time year-round benefited position.

You will be scheduled for 40 hours per week.

Minimum Requirements

Job Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • No experience required-training provided.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work with hands for extended periods.
  • Reliable attendance and positive attitude
  • Basic math and measurement skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in commercial fishing, marine environments, or manual labor

Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand (6-8 hours a day); walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; push/pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision and depth perception.
