About Formulation Development The Tolmar R&D Formulation Development team is responsible for creating the formulation for New Product Development (NPD) projects. A formulation is the drug product's recipe- the combination of drug and excipient(s) that creates a safe, stable, and effective drug product. We work with other R&D groups to ensure alignment between the Process, Device, Non-Clinical, and Analytical Development teams. NPD projects typically include complex injectable formulations filled into an enclosed device making up a combination product. Proposed Work Description The nature of business is that priorities can shift according to the needs of the company/department; however, this internship will primarily be a laboratory-based role generating and reporting experimental data.
