Overview

The Precision Cleaning Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate job cost estimates for precision cleaning services, developing customer relationships to drive revenue growth, and creating detailed work instructions to ensure consistent, compliant, and high-quality processing of customer components. This role bridges technical operations, sales, and customer communication to support both operational excellence and business expansion.

Salary: $33- $43.50/hr DOE



Responsibilities

    Review customer drawings, specifications, and scope of work to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates.
  • Evaluate labor, materials, processing time, and special requirements to determine pricing.
  • Collaborate with operations, quality, and engineering to validate process feasibility and cycle times.
  • Maintain estimating tools, pricing models, and historical cost data for accuracy and consistency.
  • Communicate technical requirements and pricing clearly to customers and internal teams.
  • Create clear, detailed, and controlled work instructions for precision cleaning processes.
  • Ensure instructions meet customer specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements.
  • Continuously improve work instructions based on process changes, lessons learned, and efficiency opportunities.
  • Work closely with quality and operations to ensure repeatable and compliant execution.
  • Support audits and documentation requirements related to controlled processes.
  • Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities in precision cleaning and related services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Engage customers to understand future needs, upcoming programs, and service gaps.
  • Support quoting strategy to remain competitive while protecting margins.
  • Assist in reactivating dormant or declining accounts and expanding share of existing customers.


Skills / Qualifications

  • Strong business development and customer relationship skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to balance technical accuracy with commercial awareness.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive growth initiatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Knowledge of aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating/ERP systems.
