Overview

The Senior Communication Program Lead is responsible for shaping and executing the integrated communications strategy for the Waters Materials Science Division, supporting both internal engagement and external communications. This role serves as the primary communications partner to divisional leadership and plays a key role in advancing business priorities while ensuring strong alignment with Waters' enterprise narrative, brand standards, and messaging framework.

The ideal candidate has a strong PR background with the ability to take complex scientific topics and turn them into compelling narratives for use across paid, owned and earned media.

In addition to divisional responsibilities, this leader partners closely with the SVP, Global Communications on select enterprise change initiatives.



Responsibilities

External Communications & Product PR

    Lead development of all productrelated press releases for the division, translating complex science into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Partner closely with the Head of External Communications to ensure alignment, governance, approvals, and distribution.
  • Support external storytelling that strengthens awareness, credibility, and reputation among customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.

Divisional Communications Leadership

  • Develop and execute the endtoend communications strategy for the Materials Science Division, aligned to corporate priorities and business objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the Head of the Division, providing strategic counsel on messaging, engagement, and communication approaches.
  • Ensure consistency between divisional and corporate messaging across all channels.

Internal Engagement & Employee Communications

  • Drive divisional employee communications and engagement initiatives that inform, inspire, and connect employees to strategy, priorities, and transformation efforts.
  • Develop and deliver highquality internal communications across channels such as intranet, leadership updates, and town halls.
  • Partner with enterprise employee communications to ensure alignment with companywide programs and narratives.

CrossFunctional Collaboration & Special Projects

  • Lead enterprise and special initiatives led by the VP, Corporate Communications & Brand.
  • Collaborate with the Brand team on branding initiatives across the business.
  • Act as a connector across divisional, regional, and corporate teams to ensure clarity, alignment, and efficient execution.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading communications programs in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Exceptional written and digital communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex scientific or technical topics.
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to align communications to business goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and influence with senior leaders and crossfunctional partners.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
