  • UT Health Tyler is the flagship hospital of the system serving hundreds of thousands annually. Specializing in advanced acute care medicine, our midtown location boasts a Level 1 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, the region's only EMCO program and a Level III NICU. Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities

  • The Cardiovascular (CV) Registrar is responsible for data abstraction, review, and evaluation of the cardiac registries from medical records.
  • The CV Registrar has a thorough understanding of Cardiovascular clinical care, including best practice and compliance to the National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR), American College of Cardiology (ACC), and Society for Thoracic Surgeons (STS) measure metrics.
  • Effectively communicates and works closely with other departments to identify areas of process improvement

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED Preferred:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in healthcare environment

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Related field or LVN
  • Background in Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology strongly preferred
