POSITION OVERVIEW:

Responsible will be to lead advanced security operations, incident response, continuous improvement initiatives. While serving as a vital bridge between security vendors and the business.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Respond to Teir 3 escalation point and participate in rotational on-call support.
2. Oversee real-time threat monitoring and enhance detection logic using SIEM and threat hunting tools.
3. Lead complex investigations, coordinate forensic analysis, and manage privileged cases with discretion.
4. Drive containment and recovery efforts, implement corrective actions, and processes.
5. Design measurable detection uses cases aligned with threat trends and business needs.
6. Liaise with internal teams, vendors, and customers during breach investigations.
7. Manage alert tuning requests and maintain documentation for audit compliance.
8. Guide junior analysts, support recruitment, and foster a collaborative team culture.
9. Deliver enhancements and manage SOC tool configurations per FedEx Freight standards.
10. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range: $83,799.00 - $160,894.00 per year

Colorado Pay Ranges: Colorado Springs, Grand Junction $89,665 - $143,465; Henderson, Mead $94,693 - $151,509; Gypsum $100,559 - $160,894

Illinois Pay Ranges: Effingham, Kankakee, Lincoln, Quincy, Rockford, Aurora $89,665 - $143,465; Bolingbrook, Chicago Heights, Des Plaines, Elmhurst, Forest View, Joliet, Schaumburg, Summit-Argo, Zion, Buffalo $100,559 - $160,894

New York Pay Ranges: Plattsburgh, Buffalo, Watertown, North Chili, East Syracuse, Nichols $89,665 - $143,465; Bethpage, Montgomery, West Babylon $100,559 - $160,894

This compensation range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting pay range in NJ. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay is determined by experience relative to the job, market level, specific location and other job-related factors permitted by law. Regular full & part-time employees (who complete 91 days of employment and work a minimum average of 12 hours per week) are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage, tuition reimbursement. Full/part-time employees who are age 21 are eligible for 401(k) after one month of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in cyber security, computer science, or related field
* Five (5) years of experience in information technology, cyber security, or incident response.
* Ability to analyze root cause and investigate complex data sets to identify patterns.
* Working knowledge of SIEM (CrowdStrike, Splunk, ArcSight, Sentinel), Threat Detection & Hunting (IOC's, TTPs, behavioral analytics), Cyber Security Frameworks (MITRE, NIST, Cyber Kill Chain), Incident Response & Forensics (End-to-end investigation and root cause analysis), Network and Endpoint Security (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, Wireshark, EDR tools (Microsoft), Cloud Security (AWS, Azure, GCP), Scripting and Automation (python, PowerShell, required.
* Ability to identify patterns and behavioral analytics for threat detection and hunting.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with SIEM data analytics for effective incident investigation of root cause
* Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration with technical teams and executives
* Certifications: CompTIA Security+/CySA+, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), EC-Council Certified SOC Analyst (CSA), Cisco CyberOps Associate, CISSP, and CEH, preferred.
