Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rover Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and irregular activity, document observations, and support staff and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a financial institution location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas and/or perimeter points to help to deter suspicious activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor security-related systems and access points such as cameras, alarms, doors and visitor check-in areas, and report irregular conditions per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency services, and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete timely written reports and daily activity logs, communicate observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership, and support security-related investigations as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
