Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Unit Driver

As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Unit Driver in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. Join Allied Universal at a shelter location as an unarmed patrol officer with a driving post requirement and valid driver's license. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete vehicle and foot rounds, and support access control while providing customer-focused communication to staff, guests, and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a shelter location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior common areas, exterior grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points by greeting visitors, verifying authorization, issuing visitor instructions, and reporting suspicious behavior to site leadership and/or responding authorities as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts, documenting actions taken, and coordinating with emergency services when required.
• Complete security-related logs, incident reports, and shift passdowns; communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
