Job Description




As a Security Officer flex Armed Driver Patrol in Auburndale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will conduct routine driving patrols, maintain a highly visible presence, and respond to incidents with calm professionalism. You will support security-related access control, assist with investigations, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and local partners. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and post orders at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, perimeter fencing, and roadways to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and control the entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and deliveries, verifying credentials and documenting activity per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and/or local public agencies as needed.
  • Complete detailed written reports, maintain logs, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision regarding incidents, patrol findings, and operational concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have 1 or more years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
