Job Description




As a Security Officer - Fire Watch Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a busy government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with riders, staff, and public partners while delivering strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of platforms, concourses, station entrances, stairwells, elevators, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, observe for suspicious behavior or unattended items, and report concerns promptly through established notification channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing direction to the public and coordinating with site representatives, transit personnel, and/or responding public agencies as needed.
  • Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, document observations accurately, and support investigations by preserving relevant information and maintaining professional communication.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
