Accounting Manager, Traffic Solutions

As Accounting Manager, Traffic Solutions you will lead the trial balance management, reporting, accounts payable and certain planning and forecasting activities of the business in USCA and ensure timely and accurate month-end closing. You will work a hybrid schedule from our Greensboro, NC office and report to the Finance Director.

Main Responsibilities:

• Own accounting supervision for Traffic Solutions USCA team, overseeing those who will prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, maintain fixed asset ledgers, providing accounting support when needed
• Review and approve journal entries while seeking guidance from the Senior Accounting Manager or the Global or North America Finance Directors when needed
• Lead the Accounts Payable team providing guidance and counsel while ensuring accuracy of month-end balances with timely processing and communication with GL team
• Provide month-end reporting through the accounting team (departmental statements, T&E reports)
• Provide insight throughout the month and during closing for Finance Leadership
• Review financial reports throughout the month to ensure accuracy and understanding of results. Identify areas that need correction whether with a journal entry or action is needed at the manufacturing facility or with Supply Chain
• Be a liaison for the business unit with the Global Concur team helping the business with on-boarding as well as problem solving and follow-up
• Be a partner to the region, providing them with insight and ensuring completeness of the month-end results
• Ensure accurate reporting and timely financial closings
• Identify and drive process improvement projects to increase overall knowledge and productivity within the team
• Ensure alignment with the strategic objectives of the business as well as the independence required for accurate reporting of financial results
• Ensure appropriate financial controls are in place and adherence to deadlines as well as processes to ensure compliance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting; MBA preferred
• 10+ years of related experience
• Financial analysis experience required / manufacturing costing preferred
• Executive presence and strong communication
• Strong accounting skills and analytical skills
